Inspiration

Childhood CoolMath games and having fun during class with friends while learning.

What it does

By using your left and right arrow keys or a & d to move left and right while jumping with space, you can move your sprite after answering 10 math questions that increase in difficulty with each level. This game motivates students to learn math with a fun game. Help the gum blob reunite with its mother! (P.S. There's a secret easter egg when you hit a mysterious number key!)

How we built it

We built this by using Scratch and imported hand-drawn designs for all the graphics. We then put together multiple parts of our coding together to create GUMMATH!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of our hand-drawn designs for all of the graphics within the game. We are also proud of being able to complete a game and project!

What we learned

We learned how to collaborate on a coding project together and how to use Scratch.

What's next for GUMMATH

We aim to create additional levels that include higher-level math that makes the game usable for other students that wish to use GUMMATH throughout their math-learning careers.
