“Guilt is good at chess and at arguments. Guilt is always polished, in a black dress with a calculated neckline and he”: What would Guilt look like if she took on physical form? If she transformed from a concept and emotion into a woman of flesh and blood? “Guilt's Orgasm” gives this ever-present feeling a face-and what a face it is: beautiful, judgmental eyes, and Botox that’s just starting to fade. The animated film “Guilt’s Orgasm” turns a universal human emotion into an allegorical character - an older, seductive woman who emotionally manipulates and abuses the story’s young protagonist, a man working in her grand, decaying estate. The script is inspired by S.Y. Agnon’s short story The Lady and the Peddler, and unfolds in a dark, gothic world: a lavish mantsion, located in an undefined, isolated space, far from the city and far from anyone else. The plot advances as the young man gradually awakens to the false promises of Guilt, who constantly convinces him that if he just listens to her cruel words and sweet lies, he will finally succeed in life. As the story progresses, he realizes he can never beat her at chess, and that she will always be one step ahead. He comes to understand that despite her calm, composed, and confident façade, Guilt has no real agenda. She is, in fact, an opportunistic player who will always find a way to accuse him of not being “enough”-whether he works too little or too much, rests or doesn’t rest, grows spiritually or personally-she will always come out on top. “Guilt’s Orgasm” offers an allegorical, gothic, and haunting exploration of one of the most persistent emotions in human experience, and invites viewers to consider a new perspective on the suffering it brings. “Guilt’s Orgasm” is not just a film about the paralyzing power of guilt, but a technological experiment exploring the boundaries of human creativity in the age of AI. Using cutting-edge tools for animation, voice, and image, the film blurs the line between artistic control and algorithmic autonomy.

Inspiration: The script is inspired by S.Y. Agnon’s short story The Lady and the Peddler, it is based on a short story by the director Kaitz Brebner

What it does: Guilt’s Orgasm personifies the emotion of guilt as a manipulative, sensual force that plays endless games with a fragile young man. The film asks whether guilt is an external tormentor or a projection of the mind. Through gothic AI animation, haunting narration, and surreal imagery, it explores shame, desire, and the struggle for freedom from inner judgment. It’s both a psychological allegory and an artistic experiment that blurs the line between literature, cinema, and machine-generated art.

How we built it: The film was created entirely with AI tools, each serving as a creative collaborator: Leonardo.ai for image generation and gothic world design, LumaLabs.ai for bringing stills into motion, 11Labs.ai for expressive voiceovers, Udio.ai for the original dark cinematic score, and ChatGPT for refining prompts and shaping the script. These tools enabled a single creator to build an ambitious, richly layered short film without a large crew or traditional production budget.

Challenges we ran into: The greatest challenges were artistic and philosophical: how to maintain narrative depth and emotional authenticity when using AI systems that can sometimes feel mechanical or generic. It was also a technical challenge to ensure consistency of characters across hundreds of AI-generated frames, and to merge voice, music, and visuals into one cohesive cinematic language. Each step required trial, error, and creative problem-solving.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud that Guilt’s Orgasm has already been officially selected at multiple international festivals, including Neuro Masters AI Film Festival, Tirana Mediterranean Film Festival, and AI International Film Festival (Honorable Mention). Most importantly, the film succeeded in giving shape to one of the most universal yet invisible human struggles: the inner voice of guilt. It demonstrates that AI can be used not just for spectacle, but for emotional and philosophical storytelling.

What we learned: We learned that AI is not simply a tool for efficiency, but a new artistic language. By collaborating with AI, it’s possible to externalize subconscious images, translate inner emotions into visual metaphors, and democratize filmmaking so that one artist can achieve what previously required an entire studio. The process also revealed the importance of balancing control and surrender: sometimes letting the algorithm surprise you leads to the most powerful results.

What's next for Guilt's Orgasm: This film is the first in a larger creative journey. My next step is to adapt additional works from my upcoming book This Specific Moment in Eternity into AI-driven cinematic pieces, transforming deeply personal writings into visual explorations of consciousness, emotion, and transformation. At the same time, I am developing The Simulation – a feature-length documentary that investigates the Simulation Hypothesis through science, philosophy, spirituality, and AI-powered animation. I am currently seeking funding for this ambitious project, which aims to expand the conversation about reality, technology, and the meaning of human existence. Together, these works form a growing body of films that use AI not just as a tool, but as a new artistic language for exploring inner and outer worlds.
