Inspiration

The idea for GuideUs began with a simple question: how can we transform how people learn? When we pitched a non-video learning solution, our customer said, “We want videos.” That challenge pushed us to rethink everything.

We realized companies spend $40B+ annually on training, yet employees still tune out. Shrinking attention spans and outdated formats mean critical knowledge never sticks. Creating engaging training videos takes weeks and thousands of dollars, so teams often give up or outsource.

What it does

GuideUs is an AI platform that generates long-form animated explainer videos from text. It combines flowcharts, diagrams, images, illustrations and 2D animations to make complex ideas easy to grasp and engaging. Unlike avatar tools (flat) or cinematic AI (short, costly, context-poor), GuideUs delivers dynamic, contextual learning videos designed to hold attention.

How we built it

We engineered a hybrid pipeline using text structuring, scene understanding, and animation synthesis. This lets GuideUs automatically generate coherent, visual explanations that are ready for corporate training.

Challenges we ran into

Existing text-to-video models were focused on cinematic or avatar-based content, which is great for storytelling but not for education. We had to invent new ways to convert structured knowledge into flow-based animations, while keeping production fast and cost-effective.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Cut production time by 90% and cost by 10x compared to traditional video creation.
  • Successfully validated the prototype with two enterprise teams, confirming usability and effectiveness.
  • Enabled companies to produce engaging, long-form training videos that actually hold attention.

What we learned

Constraints drive creativity. Pivoting from our original idea taught us to focus on real-world user needs rather than just technology. We also learned that AI can enhance learning, but only if it’s applied with purposeful design and context.

What's next for GuideUs

We plan to expand GuideUs to support interactive training features, more custom animations, and integration with learning management systems, making it the go-to platform for scalable, engaging corporate education.
