Inspiration
Introverts have a hard time asking questions in class or even in canvas/piazza. GuideMe helps you ask questions anonymously and answer them anonymously. Sometimes professors do not have the time to answer all questions in class. This is not a platform for assignments to be solved by others. This is a platform to guide fellow students with their classwork.
What it does
Currently, as an app, students and users can post their questions/doubts about different fields and anyone can answer/guide/help them by replying or posting a question.
How we built it
Infrastructure: AWS - EC2, Beanstalk (Nodejs server) , Jenkins for CI/CD, Mongodb for database. App: IOS-Xcode
Challenges we ran into
Keeping the nodejs server up and running.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Proud of not attempting to incorporate any of the sponsor companies' APIs just to be eligible for their prizes because that would have caused unnecessary complexity and distracted me from achieving the main goal.
What's next for GuideMe
A website will be just as helpful as an app.
