About the Project
Natural disasters and emergencies often strike without warning, yet many people do not know how to respond when every second matters. Guidebook was created to make emergency preparedness simple, personalized, and accessible so individuals and families can respond with confidence instead of panic.
Guidebook is an interactive emergency preparedness platform that provides clear, step-by-step guidance for disasters such as earthquakes, fires, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, power outages, and other emergencies. Instead of offering generic safety information, the platform creates personalized preparedness plans based on the user's location, household, family members, pets, and specific needs.
The platform includes comprehensive emergency guides, personalized evacuation and family safety plans, emergency backpack builders, home safety inspections, preparedness scoring, first aid resources, interactive disaster simulations, offline access to critical information, emergency contact management, and an AI assistant that answers safety questions in simple, practical language. Every feature is designed to help users prepare before disasters occur, make informed decisions during emergencies, and recover safely afterward.
Guidebook is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices and is designed with accessibility in mind through clean layouts, readable typography, multilingual support, and inclusive navigation. Its calm visual design prioritizes clarity and trust, ensuring that critical information remains easy to access, even under stressful circumstances.
By making emergency education interactive, personalized, and widely accessible, Guidebook aims to improve disaster preparedness, strengthen community resilience, and help save lives through knowledge and preparation.
