Inspiration
We want to provide resources to new female CS students to navigate through the major program, and to start a platform for other female CS majors to share their stories and connect with one another.
What it does
It provides easy access to resources that we thought would have helped us through our CS career, and we want to help others find them more easily.
How we built it
We used Figma to design the prototype, then created the website using HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
We could not modify the background image and text styles at the same time but then decided to break the combination and load the image and texts separately.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We started late but still made a very presentable and comprehensive website which will be helpful to others.
What we learned
With a good cause and concentration, we can really achieve a lot more than we expect from ourselves.
What's next for Guide to Surviving Cal as a Female CS-er
We hope to see some interesting discussion in the forum tabs, and perhaps even launch the website so others can add to the forum.
