This challenge inspired us to build Guide Genie, a tool designed to simplify and automate this process, while also enabling guide translation into multiple languages for global accessibility.

Guide Genie is a powerful Chrome extension that simplifies the process of creating and translating product documentation. Here's how it works:

1. Capture Screen Recordings: Users can record their on-screen actions while navigating through their product.

2. Generate Step-by-Step Guides: Using AI, the tool analyzes the recording, identifies key actions, and generates detailed, easy-to-follow instructions.

Guide Genie combines the simplicity of a Chrome extension with the robustness of AI-powered APIs. We designed the extension to analyze user screen recordings, extract key actions, and generate how-to guides in real time. The Nano API plays a crucial role in crafting detailed content and translating it into various languages seamlessly. From ideation to development, we focused on creating a tool that is both user-friendly and scalable.

One of the biggest hurdles was identifying the right API to generate accurate step-by-step content. The API needed to work seamlessly with our Chrome extension and handle diverse user actions effectively.
