We're an End to End Service that sew together the segregated areas within healthcare by creating a solution that solves access to Dermatological Care.

Inspiration

Well, The Inspiration is that telederm(Online Dermatology) is shown to give the same Diagnosis 70 - 80% of the times in many different studies conducted online, yet there is no one who's on the forefront of this technology. We want to be the first ones who provide this service in a market that has yet to be disrupted by a proven concept.

What it does

We work with 3 levels of Dermatology.

  • Diagnosis. We use Machine Learning to Diagnose skin disease based on an image and our classifier.
  • RX: we connect the person with a Doctors who ship the prescription directly to their home. -Adherence: we offer adherence by sending surveys and Push Notifications.

How we built it

We scrapped the Internet for Images. We used a classification algorithm to classify the images. We then created an app around this to connect the different services above using Flask.

Challenges we ran into

Less time and Learning Curve with Database Design and API creation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of all the architectural components that we built. It was a different experience than our usual software.

What we learned

We learned how much actually goes into API creation and we're grateful the APIs publically available.

What's next for Guide Derm

A mobile App, with a complete API.
