Inspiration
We were inspired to use Neuphonic to enter for the best Voice AI category - and to try to make something fun as well
What it does
There are two gamemodes: one where clones of celebrity voices say quotes related to themselves, and the other where they will say any phrase you give them. Both times, the goal is to guess the person speaking as quickly as possible.
How we built it
We used Neuphonic's voice cloning offerings to produce some clones of famous voices, and their low-latency TTS streaming to request the audio files corresponding to the user's input. We used the JavaScript SDK, implementing our and UI in a HTML webpage.
Challenges we ran into
Using the Neuphonic API to maximum effect was the greatest challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a good-looking page that makes good use of Neuphonic's low latency streaming of TTS audio.
What we learned
Development of skills in web development and design, and working with APIs.
What's next for Guess the Voice
Adding more and better voices to guess!
