Inspiration

We wanted to share our passion for music and art in the form of a website, and have a fun interactive game where everyone can participate and enjoy!

What it does

The website gives you a choice of genre, where you can either take an American Pop quiz, or a Korean Pop quiz. Anyone can play, and it tests your knowledge on music.

How we built it

We used the online IDE Cloud 9, and programmed with Javascript, HTML5, and CSS. One of our members drew an amazing ten cartoon figures that we incoporated to enhance the visual aspects in our game.

Challenges we ran into

We had a lot of challenges, espicially with learning some new programming languages and sucessfully implementing these in our game. It was espicially difficult to work out the format of the game, it took many hours of trial and error before we finally succeeded in getting the design we desired. In addition, the desktop computers didn't have adobe flash, so we had to go the extra mile to sucessfully attain our desired videos.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are extremely proud of actually building a successful website, as this is the first/second hackathon for most of us.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the languages CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript. We also learned about the difficulties of debugging and the immense time and effort required to build anything successfully.

What's next for Guess the Singers!!!

We hope to incorporate additional features, such as a random selection, that we didn't have time to implement today.
