Inspiration 🚀

In a world where cyber threats are growing more sophisticated, most individuals and small businesses are left unprepared. I wanted to build something that merges real-time cybersecurity awareness, hands-on training, and AI-driven guidance to help users defend themselves smarter and faster. That’s how GuardianByte was born.

What It Does 🔐

GuardianByte is a comprehensive cybersecurity assistant that helps users:

  • Visualize global cyber threats in real-time
  • Analyze suspicious emails through screenshots and sender data
  • Learn security best practices via interactive games and risk scans
  • Receive voice-based AI guidance using ElevenLabs
  • Access business-focused security tools and an education hub

How We Built It 🧠

This is a full-stack project built using:

  • React 18 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS (frontend)
  • Supabase (backend, database, edge functions)
  • ElevenLabs for the AI-powered voice assistant
  • Tavus (for the upcoming AI video assistant, with a waitlist in place)
  • Netlify for deployment
  • Bolt.new as the core builder framework

The project emphasizes scalability, real-time functionality, and professional UX.

Challenges We Faced 🧱

  • Building a screenshot-based phishing analyzer with accurate reporting
  • Integrating ElevenLabs voice assistant smoothly in-browser
  • Designing an intuitive UI for both casual users and security-conscious businesses
  • Creating a gamified phishing game that feels fun but educational
  • Balancing performance with the app's large feature set
