Inspiration

Online fraud, phishing attacks, identity theft, and financial scams are increasing at an alarming rate. Many users struggle to identify suspicious messages, fraudulent websites, and scam attempts before becoming victims. We wanted to build a solution that helps users quickly analyze potential fraud scenarios and make informed decisions using Artificial Intelligence.

What it does

GuardianAI is an AI powered fraud detection and risk assessment platform that helps users identify and analyze suspicious activities.

Key features include:

  • AI powered fraud analysis using Google Gemini
  • Risk score generation based on fraud indicators
  • Automated PDF investigation reports
  • Historical report storage using MongoDB Atlas
  • User friendly web interface for quick analysis

The platform evaluates fraud scenarios and provides recommendations, risk assessments, and actionable guidance within seconds.

How we built it

GuardianAI was developed using:

  • Python
  • Flask
  • HTML CSS JavaScript
  • Google Gemini API
  • MongoDB Atlas
  • ReportLab
  • Render

The frontend was built using HTML CSS and JavaScript while Flask handled backend processing. Google Gemini performs fraud analysis and risk evaluation. MongoDB Atlas stores reports and analysis history. ReportLab generates downloadable PDF reports for users.

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating Google Gemini API with the Flask backend
  • Managing secure environment variables and API keys
  • Configuring MongoDB Atlas connectivity
  • Deploying the application on Render
  • Handling compatibility issues during deployment and package management
