Inspiration
Being the new guy in town can suck when you unknowingly take a turn into the wrong neighborhood.
What it does
Guardian watches your GPS location and the time of day to predict the likelihood of becoming victim to crime within the city of Philadelphia, if it believes you are at risk it will push a notification to your phone via SMS.
How we built it
By cleaning up crime statistics provided by the city of Philadelphia, identifying features within the dataset, and applying machine learning techniques to the data, we created a model that is able to determine the level of your safety at a given time/location.
