Inspiration
We often get a lot of written work and assignment from Schools and Universities. Although, as pretty much education is taking place online at the moment, we usually click pictures and create a pdf of our work, and submit it. Atleast thats what I do. So this project of ours can let us complete a work that could take hours, in just a few seconds. Amazing right? Let's see how
What it does
It lets you enter the text that you want to convert into natural handwriting. As soon as you hit submit button, It'll redirect you to the output page where all your text will be converted in natural handwriting text. Therafter, you can download the page(s) as PDF, and submit them,
How we built it
We used Flask, and basic HTML-CSS to build this. When a user enters some text, the loop runs through each character, and prints the alphabet equivalent picture on the output screen. For demo video and design, we used tools like Pixlr, Premiere Pro, Alight Motion, PicsArt, etc.
Challenges we ran into
The loop thing went tricky unsupposedly, and we were thinking if we should use javascript as well. But since our team doesnt really have a liking for javascript, so we integrated it with python script itself finally.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a dope project, and a dope demo video as well. We're proud about that.
What we learned
We learned how to print images on html page using flask and also many new concepts.
What's next for GTA - Done
Right now, it works for only one handwriting, and that is one of our team member's handwriting. So we'll be trying to let users add custom handwriting in future, to get the personalized touch!
