Inspiration
Just my personal experiences and the limited amount of time challenged me to try and come up with something that almost reflected that.
What it does
It's an endless runner where our Main character Ida traverses the prejudice infested area, trying not to lose all her lives.
How I built it
first did some sketches, then digitally illustrated sprites by hand. after doing so I imported those and wrote the script for the various game functions.
Challenges I ran into
My first iteration had too many errors and bugs so I had to start from scratch on the last day. Although, it turned out better than I expected, and for that I'm proud.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Having the turnaround that I did, learning new concepts and efficient ways to get things done in c# and Unity.
What I learned
Always, always, always have a backup plan.
What's next for GSU CS girls++ Challenge Submission: Prejudmania
I will continue to work on it, optimize it, add more sound effects, and redraw the backgrounds. I plan to add more types of enemies, more backgrounds/levels, and even add a narrative. Perhaps combat?
