Inspiration

Wanted to promote responsible AI practices with the grow a garden style productivity apps.

What it does

Tracks the prompts you send to generative AI models and scores them across several categories to infer quality. Your score determines weather your garden grows or decays.

How we built it

Python backend utilizing FastAPI for API and a lightweight Ollama model for user prompt inference JavaScript/TypeScript frontend using Next.js HTML/CSS and Javascript for extension

What's next for GrowthGarden

We hope to continue improvements to the project including integration of the garden growth with the main user scoring functionality. We also hope to introduce more plants to grow, possibly including user-uploads. Finally, we also hope to improve our scoring metrics and criteria by involving more relevant categories, and include envinronmental-themed messages to remind users that the negative impact of irresponsible AI usage extends beyond just themselves. If we're looking farther into the future, though, we may consider a better user prompt dashboard for more visibility on their AI usage and where they can improve, integration across more AI chat websites, a more interactive garden and added functionality, and even suggestions to help users understand what their prompts are missing in real time.
