I joined the "Hackdays BW" from "the hackathon company GmbH", which was peformed from 2021-10-14 to 2021-10-17. There were four well designed challenges, I applied (and was accepted) for the challenge of "Baden Württemberg International" (BWI). The challenge was about to improve the representation of BWI at fairs to convice talented students to go to a BW university, to convince companies to settle in BW.
So, in my random team were three graphic desingers an a marketing expert. I was the only dev, but that was a marketing challenge, so I had to find my place :D
I decided to help with organization of team and work and maybe there is something for me to do later in the project.
Inspiration
In a hefty brainstorm, we decided about claims and what to chose as an symbol of "growth". We denied to use the usual trees, gras or something what had to be green. One deisgner posted a link about developing geometric shapes and I thought, a special kind of spiral was nice, so I implemented it in Javascript as a showcase. This special spiral was a fractal and fractals are a prinicple in natural growth (e.g. goolge for ferns an fractals). The team was excited and so on, we arranged the new booth design about this spiral.
The second thread was about the main event in the booth. A 7D cinema would be nice (a seat with 3D motion in a 3D cinema, with audition-screen interaction) so the idea was to show a ride through BW (cities, universities, companies) on the big screen. For this journey, you surely need a ticket, so you can make a longtail marketing campaign starting early to get the ticket and reuse the ticket for some benifits visiting BW after the show - for guided company tours etc.
So, for booking a ticket, you need a landing page too.
A quick, but detailed marketing concept as a frame over all starting six month before the fair and ended three month after it made the project complete.
What it does
It is a marketing concept, so I cannot show it here in full view. In the picture, you see the booth design, which was made from two of the designers. I made the landing page, where cou can enter your name and get a ticket by PDF. Nothing big, but (from the Baden-Württemberg view) with a lot of easter eggs in the graphics of the webpage.
How I built it
Frontend HTML/Javascript/CSS and a little backend with the ticket generation.
Challenges I ran into
Coordination four creatives XD ... and the detailed CI styleguide from BWI, ending up with adapting a lot of CSS from their company website.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of

What's next for "Growth into future" - HackdaysBW
No follow ups unfortunatelly. The challenge setters pictured "imagine, money doesn't matter". We have done so, but that is not a real world assumption.
So, we won
