Inspiration

Looking at the bigger picture — plants give us oxygen, calm our minds, and make our environments healthier. When they thrive, we thrive. This simple connection inspired GrowMist, a way to ensure plants get the care they need effortlessly and consistently.

What it does

GrowMist is a smart plant mister that automatically sprays a fine water mist at set intervals, keeping plants hydrated without manual effort. It can adapt misting frequency based on humidity and time of day, ensuring optimal moisture levels for healthy plant growth.

How we built it

GrowMist was brought to life using Sketch-to-Video from Sora on Higgsfield, starting from an initial product concept sketch created with Seedream 4.0. The combination of AI-powered design and visualization tools helped transform an idea into a near-real prototype concept in record time.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was fine-tuning the balance between automation and user control — we wanted GrowMist to be smart without feeling intrusive. Another challenge was creating a design that looked natural in home spaces while being functional and tech-integrated. Generating realistic product motion from concept sketches also required multiple iterations to achieve smooth and lifelike visuals.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud to have created a concept that blends sustainability, design, and technology. Seeing the product evolve from a simple sketch to a full animated visualization was a major milestone. Most of all, we’re proud that GrowMist has the potential to make plant care easier and more mindful for everyone.

What we learned

We learned how powerful AI tools can be when used collaboratively — from ideation and design to visualization. We also discovered how important it is to focus on user experience, even in the conceptual stages of a product.
