Inspiration
Growability / Education Network is a platform providing blockchain solutions for educational organizations. This platform allows education organizations to issue digital education certificates in NFT form, enabling students to use these certificates to verify their qualifications when seeking new job opportunities or building their digital CVs.
The platform offers a single student/user profile for educational and job search platforms, simplifying CV building, job application, and employee searching processes.
Education Network is a component of Growability Network, which facilitates skill registration through AI-generated tests based on user-read resources, making Growability Network a pioneering educational institution in providing such certificates.
What it does
The Education Network is a global system that maintains user NFT profiles, automatically updating educational information.
Education organizations retain complete control over their data and operate independently within the Education Network. Additionally, they can update user digital profiles with educational certificates received.
Users can view all their certificates in Education Network profile in wallets like Metamask and utilize them as proof of knowledge in Metaverses or on hiring platforms.
The system allows easy integration for any education platform to start issuing digital certificates to their students.
How we built it
Education organizations can register on our site and use a basic smart contract functionality or download the Education Organization StarterKit to implement custom logic while maintaining compatibility with the Education Network.
[WIP] Education Organization StarterKit: This toolkit helps organizations connect with the Education Network. It includes a preconfigured smart contract for blockchain integration and scripts for registration. Organizations can customize the smart contract as needed.
[WIP] Education Network SDK: This SDK manages smart contracts for organizations, bridging Web3 features with Web2 systems. It helps organizations with routine tasks like updating metadata in IPFS, issuing or updating certificates, and registering new students.
Education Network Contracts: This repository contains all contracts related to the Education Network, including the Education Organization contract with basic functionality and automation contracts for updating user NFTs based on organizational updates.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenges included:
- Providing a quick and easy way for educational organizations to integrate with blockchain technology.
- Ensuring that organizations maintain independence from the Education Network.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite financial limitations that restricted our full participation in the hackathon, we are proud of the work accomplished in just 2-3 days. From concept to implementation, our progress, though incomplete, is a testament to our commitment and capability.
What we learned
We have gained significant insights into the Chainlink platform, recognizing its forefront position in the Web3 space. Exploring the newest Chainlink products, we see great potential and plan to incorporate them in our developments.
What's next for Growability Network / Education Network
In the near future, we plan to publish the source code for the remaining system components and continue enhancing our platform. We aim to launch the product in the first quarter of the coming year, subsequently attracting course-selling projects. We hope the Growability Network will exemplify the potential of this integration approach.
