Inspiration
We wanted to create an website that reminds users to be more mindful about water usage.
What it does
A user can plant a tree and by submitting their water usage everyday, they gain "water points". These water points can be used to water and grow their trees. If more water is wasted than saved, they will lose water points. If they are unable to water their trees, the trees will slowly whither.
How I built it
We split up into 2 groups; one group worked on creating the website using python and flask. The other group created the tree objects on Blender 3D and uploaded the models to EchoAR. Trees have 7 stages, each stage having a healthier/taller tree.
Challenges I ran into
We had to learn flask and Blender 3D from scratch so that took a big chunk of our time. Displaying the image on through flask was also extremely difficult.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of my team to have learned so much in so little time to create something that we all thought was pretty cool.
What I learned
I learned how to use blender, flask, and further expanded my knowledge on python.
