Inspiration

Inspired by the theme of growth, we set out to design a game where you sustain a human life.

What it does

Our "Grow a Human" interactive experience puts the stresses of parenthood in your hands - kind of. Choose what to feed your character, what to make them do, and more - but be careful, salad isn't always an option. Navigate through treacherous scenarios, and discover the effects of mysterious mushrooms and sparkling spinach. Unlock achievements and strive for longevity!

Built using Python, TKinter, and a LOT of merge conflicts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed our graphic design skills as we went (joking). Improved team work, focus, and dedication. Proud of the achievements section and character scaling in the UI based on height and weight.

What we learned

Coordinates are confusing and we probably should have worked in branches!

What's next for Grow a Human

An improved interface, new actions, AI integration to improve scenarios and build a backstory for your character, and an all-new, 100% friendlier face (featuring hair, eyes and other features).
