Inspiration

We wanted to create an app that makes it easier to collaborate on dream projects

What it does

This app allows users to find project groups they'd be interested in and join them based on the skills the team requires

How we built it

Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio, Firebase/Firestore

Challenges we ran into

We had a hard time integrating Firebase into our project, and also learning new syntax involved with Android Development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have pulled data from a database to populate our app. No merge conflicts!

What we learned

We learned a lot about proper source control when working as a team, as well as new technologies relating to Android dev

What's next for GroupFinder

We want to add more screens to the app, and improve the UI to give users a better experience. Someday we would like to scale this app to help freelance developers find jobs.
