Inspiration
Our thought process was to imagine a world before excessive consumerism and we landed on the idea of cavemen sharing tools to survive.
What it does
Our website allows users to list tools up for rent so that others can borrow tools without the need to buy new tools that they may only use once.
How we built it
Backend: Nodejs with Express Frontend: Reactjs with TailwindCSS
Challenges we ran into
None of us had created the frontend for applications before so learning react.js with tailwind css was a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Succesfully implementing backend API's and persistence using JSON files. Managing to get a working frontend.
What we learned
We learnt how to set up the frontend using vite and create frontend elements using reactjs, and tailwind css.
What's next for GrugHasIt
Implementing a location based system so users can search for nearby tools for rent. Adding a rating and review system.
