Inspiration
Our love for reading. 📖
What it does
Tracks the books you want to read in an easy format.
How We Built it
We used Java on repl.it and our prior knowledge to create a code that satisfied our needs. For loops and while loops were extremely helpful.
Challenges I ran into
Since this is our first hack-a-thon we ran into a lot of errors due to the fact that most us forgot our coding, but we fixed this by retyping certain parts of the program. Often times, we had errors involving bracket and semicolon placement.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Figuring out how to correctly use while loops and if then statements.
What I learned
We learned that everything we want to do won't work, we had to find alternate methods.
What's next for Group Project
In the future, we hope to take our idea and make it into a full-fledged app for millions of people to use across the glove to help them track their reading habits. We would like to implement features such as adding graphs tracking stats like how many books read per year, graphics of the covers, and reminders to read every day or to get a certain book.
