NewRoots Initiative is a Mobile Mental Health Clinic Team screening for PTSD in newcomer and refugee high school students built through Guidance Counsellor checks. It functions as a twice a semester PTSD and suicide risk screening by medical students in newcomer/refugee high school students. We aim to have this project functioning in 20 pilot schools by January 2027.
