Netflix TV Show and Movie Recommender

Inspiration: Long times searching for something to watch, without actually watching anything

What it does: Recommends 3 movies or TV Shows based on the inputted movie

How we built it: Breaking data into ArrayLists and using loops to create objects with ArrayList elements as parameters

Challenges we ran into: Importing Data and standardizing how it was computed

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Getting the backend and algorithm working nicely

What we learned: Parsing and working with data

What's next for Group 10: Connecting the front end to backend of this project as well as future programs to help with everyday life.

In this project I worked as both a back and front end developer. This was my first time ever working with datasets and in a partner setting. Despite being a greenhorn I was able to work together with my partner and create a project. However, in the time alloted we were unable to figure out how to connect the Java backend to the HTML/CSS front-end. Although we were unable to create a fully functioning product I am glad we made the trip to Santa Barbara as we both learned lots from this experience.
