Inspiration

We wanted to create a sharable grocery list app.

You can log in, create groceries lists, and view others' lists, sorted by distance from you.

This app uses ionic, react, and Firebase. It also uses geohashing for distance queries.

We were new to ionic, so it was fun to learn.

We learned a lot in the process. We used our individual skills to be productive with our time.

This was the first hackathon for some of us, and it was very fun! We learned a lot about Ionic, React, and Firebase in a short amount of time.

We could add more features, such as officially "claiming" a list and connecting two users for delivery.

I worked on the Grocery list view side. Making it interactive, saving data to the database, updating it, and allowing creation, saving, retrieving, and editing of lists.

I worked on the lists view, which sorted grocery lists by distance using geohashing. I also worked on retrieving grocery list information and passing it to the single list view. Finally, I made each grocery list attached to a user, so users could delete their own lists.
