Groot is Alive!

Inspiration

Modern times are focusing more on the technical stuff development rather natural development.This is just a step taken inorder to use technical ideas for the betterment of the enviroment.And Groot is a fictional character of marvel comic which is a talking tree/plant.So that became my inspiration in pursuing this project.

What it does

In this project we use the moisture sensor to tell if the soil is dry or not .so that the people of that society can be conscious about the plant .IOT is implemented by use the ESP8266 which along with the thinkspeak will call the person incharge.

How we built it

-using Arduino UNO -ESP8266 -thingspeak -Moisture sensor Using the above resources which are pretty common to find we tried to make a device that sends an email to the person incharge about wellbeing of the plant.The message will say the message i need water.As Groot used to say I am groot.

Challenges we ran into

-Being in pandemic time ,I had to do this project all alone. -First Hackathon I am taking part in -IOT was a field of interest for me always but making something like this was fun along with alot of workload

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-Happy that i was able to complete the project and take part in it

What we learned

Learnt about IOT and thingspeak in a more detailed manner

What's next for Groot is Alive!

Try and make it a more scalable concept that can be implemented in larger domains
