Inspiration

We wanted to create a customized and personalized experience for grocery shopping while giving you the option of staying right in your home. We found when grocery shopping, we tend to leave items off our checklist and end up having to make two trips to the store. Now, with Grocery Go Go, not only does it help create an extensive list of items to buy, it also allows you to place the order list directly to a delivery service website, eliminating the need to browse through their vast (and often confusing) website. This allows for your very own waitress for groceries.

What it does

Grocery Go Go helps generate a detailed and thorough list of items, ensuring that all your boxes are checked, from household items to groceries. Using comprehensive graphs and metrics, Grocery Go Go also provides suggestions for items that you may be low on for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also have a user friendly website which allows you to create your own profile, displays your past receipts, and provides key calculations showcasing your purchased items. Once the order list has been compiled, this list can either be emailed to the user or sent to a delivery service to have the groceries delivered right to their front door.

How OUR TEAM built it

We used Voiceflow to house the main logic of the application and compile the order list and Firebase as the database to store the data. We also used domain.com to create a domain name and host our website which holds key metrics and graphs regarding the items purchased.

What OUR TEAM learned

We learned how intuitive Voiceflow is while providing a vast variety of functionality. We will be using Voiceflow in the future for more projects.

Challenges and Accomplishments OUR TEAM is proud of

Keeping track of the grocery list in Voiceflow API and sending the data to our Firebase Cloud Function was a difficult task to complete and get working. We are very proud of end result as it is something that OUR TEAM would actually use.

What's next for Grocery Go Go

We want Grocery Go Go to be used in every household across the world. We will be looking to soon add more functionality and more paths for users to go through. For example, we want to add drinks and dessert menus for them to add to the list.
