Our motivation stems from moms prioritizing child safety through ingredient scrutiny. Observing the modern trend of Indian moms desiring a healthy life for their kids inspired us to extend this service to all individuals, considering their body types and allergies.

How we built it

Developed using Machine Learning OCR (Optical Character Recognition) with Azure, Flask, and GoDaddy for domain.

Challenges we ran into

Encountering a significant hurdle, we struggled to identify an ideal website for scraping or obtaining a dataset, making it challenging to achieve high model accuracy. Another obstacle was the decision to focus on nutrient values for food items instead of ingredients. This choice was prompted by the realization that managing a vast dataset of individual ingredients for each product would lead to complexities in assessing their impact on individual health, potentially causing overfitting in the model.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take pride in discovering an approach to maintain a minimal yet accurate dataset. Additionally, our achievement extends to the development of a new web app designed for daily use.

What we learned

Our learning encompassed gaining insights into various platforms such as GoDaddy, Streamlit, Cloudflare, etc. These proved valuable, and workshop experiences facilitated efficient task management and time allocation among team members.
