Inspiration
The project was inspired by the growing struggle among university students and low-income families to afford basic groceries, especially with rising food prices and limited access to deals. Seeing edible food wasted by retailers while many go hungry motivated us to create a solution that promotes affordability, sustainability, and smarter shopping through technology.
We are using Bubble as our no-code platform to build and manage the GrocieFy-SA website, allowing us to design responsive pages and handle user interactions without traditional coding. We also use Firebase for backend support such as user authentication, real-time data storage, and notifications. These technologies help us build, launch, and scale quickly while focusing on user experience and affordability.
