Inspiration
The hassle of visiting crowded grocery stores and standing in long queues gave rise to the idea of "Groc for Me." With the growing need for convenience and smart shopping, especially in urban areas, I wanted to create an intuitive solution that lets users shop for groceries anytime, anywhere.
What it does
Groc for Me is an Android-based e-commerce grocery application that allows users to browse, search, and purchase grocery items seamlessly. From fresh produce to pantry essentials, users can explore a wide range of high-quality products. The app features a user-friendly interface, smart UI, and a smooth checkout process, making grocery shopping fast, easy, and enjoyable.
How I built it
- Platform: Android Studio
- Language: Java/Kotlin (depending on your codebase)
- Architecture: MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel)
- UI/UX: Designed with a modern and clean look for better user interaction.
- Tools: Firebase (optional, if used), local storage, and third-party libraries for UI components.
- Design: Created wireframes and UI design using Figma (link to the prototype)
Challenges I ran into
- Ensuring a responsive and intuitive UI across different screen sizes.
- Managing product data and optimizing app performance.
- Implementing a smooth checkout process while maintaining user data integrity.
- Balancing between feature-rich design and maintaining app simplicity.
