Inspiration
As summer approaches, we had vacations on our mind. A couple members have plants and gardens that need to be tended to regularly. We thought of a product that could handle this task efficiently.
What it does
Gro-More reviews weather conditions to water plants autonomously. It keeps track of plant conditions with top performers. Keeps garden details and history. Remote monitor of systems
How we built it
We used multiple Arduino Unos and various sensors to collect data of its surroundings and environment. Utilizing python, the data was sent to a custom api to display data on our website.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenges were time and part failures.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a fully functioning central hub to monitor the entire system.
What we learned
We learned that we work together very well even though we all came from different backgrounds.
What's next for Gro-More
More features that could help increase farming and raise bad planting in urban environments to raise morale of individual living there through green therapy and at the same time facilitating them to grow their own healthy food closer to their homes eliminating food deserts
