Inspiration
Day-to-day chores which we needed to suffer a lot due to the absence of a proper channel of communication with departments during our school life inspired me a lot to build this project. It helps to solve a lot of issues related to transparency between departments and users.
How this project promotes social equality?
Accessibility: The grievance portal ensures equal access to individuals by providing an online platform that eliminates geographical constraints and transportation issues.
Non-Discriminatory Handling: Complaints are treated with equal importance and impartiality, irrespective of the complainant's gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic.
Transparency and Accountability: Regular updates on the status of complaints foster transparency and accountability within the institution, supporting social equality.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Gathering and analyzing complaint data helps identify patterns or systemic issues, leading to targeted measures to address inequalities and promote a more equitable environment.
Empowerment of Marginalized Groups: The grievance portal provides a platform for marginalized groups within educational institutions to voice their concerns, empowering them to advocate for their rights and promote social equality.
Regular Monitoring and Evaluation: The portal allows for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the complaint resolution process, ensuring that it remains effective, fair, and aligned with the principles of social equality.
Usability
It is capable to be adopted by any organization which had multiple departments and needs to enable direct communication among their users and departments. Also, it can be implemented in educational institutes so that students get proper resolutions to their queries and do not face social discrimination.

We built it using React, node, and Mongo DB. Third party tools like twilio, sendgrid
Challenges Faced
The major challenge I faced was during the admin panel construction, however, I implemented it and it started working smoothly.

I'm proud of myself to have built such a full-stack project that is able to be integrated at the organizational level and function properly
What we learned
I learned about a lot of third-party packages like bcrypt and twilio that can simplify our tasks.
What's next for the project
Grievance Portal needs a complex implementation of Role-based-access-control in the future to be completely customizable for real-time applications.
