Greeting Guests with Dignity

Creating a streamlined physical and electronic system to keep track of CDCW's visitors without using personal identifying information, and keep track of what resources are most in need.

Inspiration

We were inspired by their pain points and current/previous solutions, and we wanted to take on the challenge on improving their current systems to interact with guests.

What it does

It streamlines the intake process lessens the burden for volunteers and employees while allowing for anonymity and dignity for visiting guests.

How we built it

We built a simple and intuitive website using React that keeps track of the visitors and inventory. There is also a physical prototype the keeps track of unique guests daily and other information.

Challenges we ran into

Collecting the necessary information for funding purposes while not identifying personal information.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Deploying a functional website collaboratively that is easy to use for first time users.

How to accomodate for anonymity and work collaboratively on a digital platforms

Whats Next We will include basic training on the website and talk through tailoring additional fields.
