Inspiration

The inspiration behind GreenThumb stemmed from the desire to empower plant enthusiasts and hobby gardeners like me with personalized assistance and accessible plant care guidance using Generative AI technology.

What it does

GreenThumb revolutionizes plant care by offering tailored recommendations on fertilizers, plantation techniques, and maintenance methods based on user-provided inputs such as plant species, region, and soil type. The GenAI assistant leverages the Partyrock platform from AWS, enabling rapid text generation and chat capabilities. Serving as a great learning platform for budding farmers.

How I built it

Quite simple, development made easy with Partyrock! With just a few prompts like App name, description, features, and working, the app is generated in no time, bringing my imagination to life. Next was all about choosing the right model and refining the UI as per my needs.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge was prompt engineering. Tweaking the prompt and assessing the response helped me choose the right prompt to provide the right response.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Finding a compelling and purposeful use case was one thing that made me feel good. The project is not only limited to a creative assistant but also supports environmental education and agriculture knowledge to any user.
