GreenQuest - Gamified Eco Living
Inspiration
The global climate crisis and my own journey toward sustainable habits sparked the idea for GreenQuest. I wanted to make eco-living fun and accessible, empowering people to shrink their carbon footprint with engaging, AI-driven challenges that blend technology and purpose.
What It Does
GreenQuest gamifies sustainability, offering:
- AI-personalized eco-challenges (e.g., reduce energy, recycle).
- Voice-guided tips via ElevenLabs for daily eco-advice.
- Virtual workshops with Tavus video agents.
- Blockchain-verified actions and digital rewards via Algorand.
- Shareable badges and leaderboards for viral engagement.
- Premium subscriptions (RevenueCat) for advanced challenges and analytics.
How It Was Built
- Platform: Bolt.new handled rapid development of the challenge system.
- AI: ElevenLabs powered voice interactions, while Tavus brought video workshops to life.
- Monetization: A RevenueCat paywall unlocked premium features.
- Blockchain: Algorand ensured secure eco-action verification and rewards.
- Backend: Supabase supported scalable auth, storage, and database needs.
- Deployment: Netlify hosted it with the 'greenquest.app' domain via Entri/IONOS.
- Engagement: A Reddit game on a public subreddit added silly eco-inventions.
- UI/UX: A nature-themed, accessible interface got social integrations.
- I shared the build journey on X and Discord.
Challenges I Ran Into
- Integrating multiple APIs (ElevenLabs, Tavus, Algorand) tested seamless functionality.
- Balancing gamification with meaningful eco-impact kept user retention tricky.
- Optimizing Supabase for global scalability felt tight under time constraints.
- Designing an inclusive, accessible UI for diverse audiences took several tries.
- Fitting the Reddit game into the hackathon’s tight timeline was a stretch.
Accomplishments That I'm Proud Of
