Inspiration
Rural Appalachia
What it does
Grades products based on their company's ESG scores.
How we built it
- Wrote front-end with React and JavaScript
- Wrote a CRUD back-end with Node.js
- Used the MongoDB Atlas database to store product information. Interfaced this in code via the Mongoose library
Challenges we ran into
This was our first experience with web development, so we were struggling throughout the development process but we enjoyed the experience and mistakes we learned from at the end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to make and integrate a front and back-end server successfully as well as interface with an external database.
What we learned
We learned many things since this was our first time doing web development, particularly how to create a functional front-end with React and integrate it with a Node.js back-end via port listening, among other things.
What's next for GreenQR
In the future, possibly as a side project, we plan to improve GreenQR's front-end to be more responsive and aesthetically pleasing and rework the back-end to be much more modular
