Inspiration
We believe that overtime we've lost the sense of inspiration, we often need to feel reminded to do great things over and over again. Greenminders just helps you do one good thing everyday to help the planet.
What it does
It prompts you a "green action" that you can do today, that will help the planet little by little.
How we built it
It was a difficult choice, sadly my team didn't really got the hang of it and we ended up going seperate ways, but I do like to credit were credit is due. Greenminders was the third option of a project that we had, but we chose it mostly because we wanted to learn Web development, or at least some parts of it. We used wix and some rudimentary javascript code.
Challenges we ran into
As I said, this was our third option, we ran into a lot of challenges. Most of them were hitting a wall really hard because we did not know much about the subjects we wanted to aproach. Mostly web design, design and front end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the end product, mostly I am. It is the result of learning. I am really proud of learning a lot this past days, because it is my first hackathon and I'm proud of what i've learned, and I'm mostly proud that I'm feeling more and more motivated to programming.
What we learned
It is really hard to make a team in less than 24 hours before the hackathon, we've learned how to manage our times and how to go step by step on things that need to be done.
What's next for GreenMinders
Updated UI, pitching to companies and improving the overall content! We wish ro come back as a team and add users and registrations.
