Inspiration
Our original plan was to make a weekly habit tracker to motivate people to live more sustainably.
What it does
Examines environmentally friendly habits of the user.
How we built it
We shared our code on replit and started with creating a Flask web application. We added HTML, javascript, and CSS to design and run our quiz.
Challenges we ran into
We had to change our end goal and audience for our web application. At first, we aimed our project at college students, and then we changed our audience to children. Also, we ran into time management challenges as we spent too much time trying to get the user authentication and login to work, but we were unsuccessful. We did not have much knowledge of any of the languages we used, so we had to learn along the way. Also, one of our team members got sick, so we had to reevaluate our expectations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our web application runs, and we learned more about how to use python Flaks, HTML, CSS, and javascript.
What we learned
There are often problems that come up that can not be planned for but must be overcome.
What's next for Greenly Kids Eco-Survey
We would like to be able to give randomized weekly questions so users can track their sustainable habits. We want to be able to store users' data so that they can see their progress in becoming more sustainable.
