Inspiration

We wanted to grow personally by taking on a project that makes a realworld impact. Climate change often feels too big to tackle, but by helping others track their own contributions, we also learned how small actions add up and how anyone can help make a difference

What it does

GreenLog helps users track and understand their carbon footprint from daily activities like driving and eating. It empowers users to be more mindful of everyday choices and how they connect to larger goals like sustainability and personal responsibility.

How we built it

We used SwiftUI and Apples Geolocation libraries as well as the OpenFoodFacts API.

Challenges we ran into

One challange we had was that not everyone had a mac, so testing swift and our app proved very difficult. We also ran into lots of paid API keys. Also displaying the UI in a meaningful way.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud to that we worked hard to put out a meaningful product that we hope will show people that even just making a small change in your life can have a big impact for you and everyone on the planet.

What we learned

We learned about viewing development from a user perspective and working with people who use different platforms. Also we learned IOS development and API integration.
