Inspiration

What it does

We created a low fidelity proto-type app “GreenLife'' which primarily serves as a tool to track carbon footprint. Our goal is to allow you to take a more fun and interactive approach to being mindful of our actions environmentally. We incorporated this by adding a social aspect and an interactive game to the app. The social aspect will allow you to add your friends and be part of an environmentally aware community . The game incorporates a point-system where you can spend the points that you gained from completing daily tasks on rebuilding your virtual city to make it more sustainable. Just like how you’ll be saving your virtual city, you’ll also be helping our planet with every action you take!

Creating an app that makes sure its users are consistently using it to slowly make changes to their lifestyle.

What we learned

Through research for the app, we learned more about the actions that we can take in our daily lives to limit our carbon footprint.

What's next for GreenLife

As of now, we only have an urban city setting in the game. We plan to add more environments and ecosystems for users to repair.
