GreenHouse

Inspiration

In honor of Earth day, our team decided to work towards combatting the harmful effects of plastic in our environment.

What it does

Our app, GreenHouse, keeps track of the user's recycling items and how much they recycle. It provides a fun reward system in the app. It also provides tips about recycling as well as tracking nearby recycling centers.

How we built it

We built our mock up using software such as Figma and Procreate.

Challenges we ran into

Overall, our group does not have high experience in app development, so it was hard looking for the right resources.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are so proud of the technology skills we picked up along the way and creating a product that accurately shows our idea in a graphically pleasing way.

What we learned

We learned not only about app development, but also about the recycling industry and its importance.

What's next for GreenHouse

With the time we were given, we were only able to implement features that we prioritized. However, we also brainstormed the idea of adding social features and networking attributes into our app.
