Inspiration
To most people, climate change seems like a rather significant word. Yet, this is something many of us can make an impact in. Simply by reducing the amount of energy we use in our homes, we can take a step in being more energy efficient. And using less energy essentially reduces the demand on our energy resources.
What it does
GreenHomes can be used to make an impact on climate change. It allows users to monitor their energy consumption as well as lamps and temperature through a personalized dashboard. Knowing what to improve on is a crucial step in becoming energy efficient.
How I built it
This was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges I ran into
Developing the website's dashboard was challenging. I wasn't able to create the full dashboard that I envisioned, but I created more of a demo of it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of the way the user dashboard turned out to be. I feel that it does a good job on showing the different features of the dashboard.
What I learned
During this website, I learned a lot more about incorporating JavaScript.
What's next for GreenHomes
As this dashboard on the website was a demo, moving on, I would like to create a dashboard that will access and analyze real data.
