Inspiration - We visit elementary schools with a one-day program that gets families to create and promise to follow a Green Action Checklist of all the things they promise to do to reduce their carbon and water footprints
How it works - Families take these lists home and start looking for vendors to help them
Challenges I ran into - We need to have a catalog in each community of "green" vendors who can help families find the products and services they need
Accomplishments that I'm proud of - We have taken this program to 23 schools in 6 states
What I learned - We need a link to local vendors including who they are, where they can be found, and what discounts they can give to our members and what rebates they can give to the sending school
