Inspiration
Inspired by Bruno Simmon's low poly type game, we decided to make a minimalistic game that revolved around the same idea of a user interacting with the environment.
What it does
The user is able to move a player model into energy source buildings, and receive a prompt educating the user about what it is, and what it does.
How we built it
We dedicated members to brainstorming, importing 3D models, implementing movement and camera, linking APIs, and designing the user interface.
Challenges we ran into
We are still having issues linking the OpenAI (ChatGPT generated responses) and we had many issues regarding bugs that took up lots of our working time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to have the ChatGPT api work, have our earth icon rotate, include interactivity with user interface, import 3D models, and figure out movement.
What we learned
We learned how to designate each member to work to their strengths. Although we ran into many problems along the way, members were able to help each other, stay committed, and try their best.
What's next for Green World
Green World has many more refinements that need to be made. We really want to incorporate the openAI API, and refine the game so that it is a complete package. Right now it still looks like a work-in-progress game.
