Green Suburbia: Online Carbon Footprint Calculator

In terms of what we learned, we learned how to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript completely from scratch. We are still beginners in terms of website development so it was a very interesting experience to get a chance to learn the basics of an entire languages in the span of one day. The pressure of having to develop a fairly decent product by 5:00 today was truly a source of inspiration for the both of us because it allowed use to develop skills in these languages under extreme duress.The calculator itself was coded almost completely in Python, while the website was created using HTML, CSS and JS. The calculator portion was actually quite difficult seeing as we had to incorporate a lot of research into the numbers that we used to come to the calculations for CO2 being released by each action. The main challenge we faced was work breakdown. However, we decided to breakdown the work as such: Anika built the framework of the website using HTML, Ishita did everything involving design using JS and CSS. We both did research to create our calculations and Anika did the python coding for the calculator itself. Overall, this was great challenge and we hope to get the chance to do so again.
