Quantum computing is a powerful but difficult subject for beginners. Many learners understand the theory but struggle to connect concepts like qubits, gates, superposition, and measurement with actual quantum circuits. We wanted to create a simple, interactive learning environment that makes quantum computing easier to understand by learning through experimentation.

What we built

Green Quanta is an interactive AI-powered quantum learning platform designed for beginners. It combines structured lessons, quizzes, quantum circuit building, simulation, and step-by-step visualization of quantum states in one platform.

Learners can study concepts, build quantum circuits, run simulations, and observe how quantum states change as gates are applied. This makes the learning process more practical rather than purely theoretical.

How we built it

We developed the platform using a Python FastAPI backend and a JavaScript-based frontend. Quantum circuits are simulated using Qiskit and Qiskit Aer. The platform also includes a database layer for managing application data and an AI tutor component to support learners.

Challenges

One of our biggest challenges was making complex quantum concepts understandable while keeping the interface simple. We also had to connect the frontend with the backend, integrate quantum circuit simulation, and make the application available as a web platform.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how quantum circuits work in practice, how to integrate Qiskit simulation into a web application, how frontend and backend systems communicate, and how AI can be used to make technical education more interactive.

What's next

We plan to expand the platform with more quantum algorithms, advanced simulations, personalized learning paths, improved AI tutoring, and more interactive experiments for students.
