Green Pathfinder

The purpose of this website is to aid the user in making more environmentally conscious choices in their daily routine. It will motivate the consumer via a reward system and aesthetic presentation.

Inspiration

The lack of similar projects and programs existing and the lack of awareness of the individual's personal impact on the environment.

What it does

A reward system where the user must complete a daily questionnaire evaluating the quality of their day-to-day decisions regarding environmental impact.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting CSS style sheet to what is being displayed in the webpage, formatting, website's visual appeal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having no previous web design experience, we managed to successfully create and design a functioning web application.

What we learned

We learned HTML framework with ASP.NET in Visual Studios and learned how to style the website with CSS.

What's next for Green Pathfinder

Providing a functional account feature and tracking the user's progress with an SQL database. Dedicating sections of the website for additional information on the issues and resources such as nearby volunteering opportunities. Allowing for accounts to interact with one another and compete for higher points.
