The Earth is a beautiful planet, but because of pollution, we have lost much wildlife, and if nothing changes, polar bears will soon be next. We hope to bring more attention to the damages air pollution can cause, and allow companies to shift to more sustainable methods, and also allow everyday people to see how they too can make changes in their life and do their part to preserve Earth's beauty.
It is a website that compiles resources for people to learn more about pollution and how they can help by providing books, places to donate and volunteer. There is also a map where they can see the levels of pollution around the globe.
We built it with, HTML, javascript and cs, and we wrote out code on Replit.
Two of our team members live across the globe, so communication was difficult. We had to clarify ideas and brainstorm either early in the morning or late at night, so this made the two days seem even shorter and the pressure of time was heightened.
That despite the time constraints we persisted. The developers are also beginners at web development, so they had to watch videos on how to code different parts of the website that they were unsure of.
The web developers are beginners at web development and because of this, they had to search up tutorials on how to code different parts of the website, thus increasing their knowledge of coding. We had to do research on pollution and resources, so we learned how we can help the environment, and how the pollutions levels are in different countries, and how they affect the ecosystem.
We hope we can upgrade the website in the future, because of time constraints, the website can be improved in terms of design and we can also add in more resources in the future so it can be more helpful to viewers.
